Big Brother

There are reportedly 4.2 million cctv cameras in the UK with 10,000 in London alone. [Justin Davenport, Evening Standard 19.09.07] Thats about one camera to every fourteen people, and accounts for 20% of the world's CCTV cameras.

Yet 80% of crime is left unsolved, surely deeming the CCVT coverage as excessive and ineffective?

Are we headed towards an Orwellian Society?

The idea of using the concept of a big brother society is both current and in keeping with the idea of conspiracy theories, as our privacy is a sacred thing and is under threat from the 'Big Brother' nation.
